Does BuddyWeb need to connect to the Internet?

BuddyWeb can use the Internet to contact qacafe.com to determine if there are any product updates available, update the license, and download the latest company news. The machine running BuddyWeb does not have to be connected to the Internet. All communication with the Internet is done through the client's web browser.

For example, if BuddyWeb resides on a private network, but you are accessing BuddyWeb from your desktop machine which can connect to both the private network as well as the Internet, all of BuddyWeb's features will be available to you.

Note:
BuddyWeb is still fully functional as a test tool without access to the Internet. Such features as automatic license update, product update notification, and news updates from QA Cafe will not be available.
