What is auto-update?
BuddyWebAuto-update is a feature available in BuddyWeb which automatically refreshes the active test log that is being viewed on the Live page. Auto-update allows you to view test message and events as the occur in real-time without having to manually refresh the Live page.
To enable auto-update, click the "Turn auto-update on" link which is available on test logs viewed on the Live page.
For BuddyWeb included with releases through CDRouter 4.3
Automatic Refresh (aka auto-update) was introduced for BuddyWeb in CDRouter 3.6. When running interactively, it became necessary to constantly refresh the log to see the latest information. To make things easier, BuddyWeb can now automatically reload a log every second with the latest messages.
To activate Automatic Refresh, simply click the link at the top of the log in BuddyWeb. TraceHighlighting must be turned on for this feature to work.
AutoRefresh can be very taxing when trying to view extremely large files over a network connection. It is recommended that it is turned on when using BuddyWeb from the same machine as CDRouter.
