What are the different types of NAT that are supported?

The type of NAT implemented by the device under test (DUT) plays a significant role in defining its behavior. CDRouter will automatically skip and/or run tests based on the NAT implementation of the DUT. CDRouter supports three different NAT modes:

  testvar natMode address-restricted
  testvar natMode port-restricted
  testvar natMode full-cone

NOTE: Support for full-cone NAT was added in CDRouter 3.7.

A good explanation of the different types of NAT can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation
