You can test the IP data path of a MoCA interface using a MoCA bridge. A MoCA bridge allows you to bridge between Ethernet and MoCA. CDRouter does not support native MoCA connections with a direct coaxial cable connection. However, using a MoCA bridge, an Ethernet port on the CDRouter host can be connected directly to the MoCA bridge. The MoCA bridge is then connected directly to the router via the MoCA interface.
Example Setup for MoCA Connection
There are no changes required in the CDRouter configuration file to support MoCA. CDRouter treats the LAN connection as a standard Ethernet connection.
NOTE: With CDRouter-Multiport, both MoCA and Ethernet LAN interfaces may be tested at the same time.
A list of MoCA bridges is available from the MoCA Alliance web site.
