I'm using Firefox, but BuddyWeb tells me I'm not!

BuddyWeb browser detection uses the user-agent string supplied by the client to determine if you are using Firefox. We have noticed some instances where even though Firefox is in use, the wrong user-agent is supplied.

Possible reasons for this include:

  1. Using a 3rd-party extension that changes the user-agent
  2. Using a much older version of Firefox
  3. Having a proxy server between the client and the host.

Specifically for #3, some proxy servers will re-write the user-agent sent from the client. We strongly recommend that you connect directly to BuddyWeb and do not use a proxy server.
