What are the differences between the 32 and 64 bit versions of CDRouter?
General
The 64 bit version of CDRouter is designed for use on 64 bit hardware and operating systems. CDRouter 5.0 is the first release that includes support for both 32 and 64 bit systems. In all 5.x and 6.x versions of CDRouter, users were required to download the appropriate 32 bit or 64 bit version of the CDRouter installer. Beginning with CDRouter 7.0, a single installer is available that will automatically detect the architecture of the target Linux system and install the appropriate 32 bit or 64 bit version of CDRouter.
The latest CDRouter versions are available in the Customer Lounge. Please be sure to select the correct CDRouter installer based on the architecture of your Linux host operating system.
Note that there are no major functional or performance differences between the 32 and 64 bit versions of CDRouter. We recommend using the 64 bit version on 64 bit capable hardware and the 32 bit version otherwise. If you have questions about your specific hardware, please contact support@qacafe.com.
