How do I enable JavaScript in my Browser?

BuddyWeb
BuddyWeb 2.0 uses JavaScript to implement many of the dynamic features it provides to the test engineer. By necessity, any web browser listed as supporting BuddyWeb has JavaScript enabled by default.

If your workstation has JavaScript disabled due to an Administrative Policy set by the IT Department or equivalent, you may have to contact them to have JavaScript enabled on your workstation.

If your workstation has Administrator access and you are permitted to make local configuration changes, there are two ways that JavaScript could be disabled.

JavaScript is Disabled Globally

Sometimes, JavaScript is disabled globally in the browser preferences. For example, in the Firefox 3.x web browser, to enable JavaScript you must click on the Tools, Options, and then Content tab, and click the check box enabling JavaScript. Other web browsers will have similar menus allowing for the global activation of JavaScript.

JavaScript is Disabled Per Website

Other times, JavaScript is selectively enabled per website. This practice has become more common in recent years, as JavaScript can allow for undesirable functionality such as advertising or phishing attacks. An example of a site-specific JavaScript blocker is the Firefox add on module, NoScript. If NoScript is installed, BuddyWeb needs to be allowed as a trusted web site to enable JavaScript. Current versions of NoScript allow this by visiting BuddyWeb, and right clicking the body of the page. The NoScript menu will allow BuddyWeb to be JavaScript enabled, either temporarily or permanently.
