What operating systems does CDRouter support?

Installation

CDRouter supports most major Linux distributions including:

  • Ubuntu
  • Fedora
  • Red Hat Linux
  • openSUSE
  • Debian

CDRouter can also be run on other Linux distributions that are compatible with RPM packages. Please contact support@qacafe.com for more information on alternative Linux distributions.

Recommended operating systems

QA Cafe currently recommends the following operating systems for new CDRouter installations:

  • Ubuntu 9.04 (32 and 64 bit versions, requires at least CDRouter 5.0)
  • Ubuntu 9.10 (32 and 64 bit versions, requires at least CDRouter 5.0)
  • Ubuntu 10.04 (32 and 64 bit versions, requires at least CDRouter 5.0)
  • Ubuntu 10.10 (This Ubuntu has Linux >=2.6.35, which is required for the Storage add-on)

Notes

  1. CDRouter does not currently support Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  2. Support for 64 bit systems is available beginning with CDRouter 5.0. For more information on the 64 bit version of CDRouter, please see this Knowledge Base article.
  3. CDRouter is not compatible with SELinux, which is installed by default in most new Fedora distributions. Please see this Knowledge Base article for information on disabling SELinux.
