Some wireless adapters allow you to directly access the *.inf or *.ntf file on the driver/installation CD. Others ship the drivers within a *.cab file. If you have a *.cab file, you can unpack this directly on Linux using unshield if the *.cab file is in InstallShield format. If the *.cab file is in Microsoft cab format, please try cabextract.
# unshield -d driver-files x data1.cab Cabinet: data1.cab extracting: driver-files/Inf/PRISMA02.cat extracting: driver-files/Inf/PRISMA02.inf extracting: driver-files/_Support_English_Files/_IsRes.dll extracting: driver-files/_Engine_Engine_Files/corecomp.ini extracting: driver-files/Drv_XP_Util/PRISMAPI.dll extracting: driver-files/Drv_XP_Util/PRISMSVR.exe extracting: driver-files/_Support_Non-SelfRegistering/isrt.dll extracting: driver-files/_Support_Non-SelfRegistering/default.pal
Once all the files in the *.cab file have been extracted, you can search for the *.inf and driver files needed by DriverLoader.
Note that the driver files for all wireless interfaces recommended by QA Cafe are available in our Knowledge Base.
