How do I import and export results with BuddyWeb?

BuddyWeb

Results can be easily shared between systems using BuddyWeb's import and export features. Please see the import and export instructions below for more information on sharing results, configuration files, and test packages between systems.

To export a set of results, navigate to the Results page, select one or more test runs, and click the Download .zip button in the toolbar. This will generate a .zip* archive containing the configuration file, test logs, and capture files for all test cases included in that particular test run. Note that starred status of a test run and the flagged status of any test cases will be preserved. In addition, all tags will be retained during the export process.

Results can also be exported by clicking the .zip* icon from with the detailed view of a specific test run, as you can see by clicking on the thumbnail below.

BuddyWeb Version 2 Export Function (from Results Detail)

To import a test run, navigate to the Results page and click the Import button in the toolbar. This will open the import wizard which allows you to select either a BuddyWeb Version 1 or 2 archive to be imported. Once you've selected an archive, you can individually select and import only the components you want. There are three components to choose from: the configuration file for that test run, the test package, and the test results. Note that you can also modify certain attributes such as the name or tags for each component during the import process. CDRouter will automatically tag all imported configuration files, test packages, and test results with the tag import.
