What do I do if BuddyWeb only shows an Unlicensed warning message?

To use BuddyWeb, it must first be enabled in your license file. If you are a new customer, this should already be the case. Existing customers who have upgraded to BuddyWeb will need to download an updated license for their system.

BuddyWeb makes this process much easier than before. Now, from the Unlicensed warning page, click the "Update License" button. BuddyWeb will automatically connect to QA Cafe and download and install the most recent license for your system.

After updating your license, you must restart BuddyWeb for the new license to take effect. When you see the message that the license was updated, click Continue, then restart the BuddyWeb service.

On most systems, this can be accomplished by the root-user with:

    # /etc/init.d/buddyweb restart

Note:

Currently, there is no way to automatically update your License if you are accessing BuddyWeb via a secure HTTPS connection. Please connect to the unencrypted HTTP port to complete the license update. We are working on a solution to this.
