Can I use BuddyWeb over SSL (HTTPS)?

Yes. BuddyWeb supports access via HTTPS using SSL. The default HTTPS port is one higher the normal HTTP port. For instance, if BuddyWeb is configured to run on port 8015, the HTTPS port will be 8016.

To access BuddyWeb over HTTPS, you need to enter the port number as well as the https:// protocol. BuddyWeb has no way of automatically switching between encrypted and non-encrypted traffic.

If you are running BuddyWeb on the localhost, you can access https://localhost:8016/ from within Firefox.

Optionally, you can open BuddyWeb in normal HTTP mode and from the main page, click the "Use SSL" link in the top-right corner.
