By default, BuddyWeb is not protected by a password. To require a user to enter a password before they are able to access BuddyWeb.
To set a password, enter it into the Password field on the Advanced tab. You will need to confirm the password by entering it again. If the passwords do not match, you will not be allowed to click the Save button and a warning icon will be displayed. Once the password is confirmed, click the Save button.
To clear the password, from the Advanced tab, clear both password fields and click the Save button.
Note:BuddyWeb uses HTTP-Standard Basic Authentication similar to using .htaccess files within a normal web environment. BuddyWeb however, does not require a username to log-in. Only the password entered in the Advanced Tab.
In most instances, the browser will cache the password while you are using BuddyWeb. For increased security, you should quit Firefox when you have finished working with BuddyWeb.
