QA Cafe ― Automate, validate, and deliver better broadband and connected devices

TR-069, a component of CDRouter by QA Cafe.

CDRouter by QA Café.TR-069

As the official test platform for the Broadband Forum BBF.069 CPE Certification program, the CDRouter TR-069 module transforms your CDRouter platform into a fully scriptable ACS simulator to test device implementations of the Broadband Forum‘s popular TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP). Whether you are an ISP, OEM, chipset, or TR-069 stack vendor, CDRouter TR-069 can ensure that your devices communicate and correctly manage their data models, whether they are gateways, routers, or end devices such as STBs, VoIP endpoints, or NAS.

Key Features

As part of the CDRouter family of products, CDRouter TR-069 capitalizes on the flexibility and advanced test execution and logging controls that make CDRouter such a powerful test tool, making it easy to verify CWMP functionality which would otherwise be extremely difficult and costly to perform manually. CDRouter TR-069 also creates an automated test framework that allows CWMP functionality to be benchmarked and tested consistently and efficiently over time. Regression testing with CDRouter TR-069 is a breeze.

  • Coverage of all required CPE RPC methods
  • Negative testing and error recovery testing
  • Publicly signed server certificate for testing with HTTPS
  • Documented ACS API for custom test development
  • Testing according to original Broadband Forum interoperability spec OD-128 (PD-128)
  • Testing for TR-069, TR-098, TR-181, TR-104, TR-196, TR-135, and more
  • Support for a variety of CWMP endpoints through our Extended Data Model (EDM) add-on
  • SOAP and XML traces of all tests
  • Official test platform of the BBF.069 certification program through our BBF.069 add-on

Testing for All TR-069 Devices

The CDRouter TR-069 EDM (Extended Data Model) add-on extends the number of supported data models to include VoIP (TR-104), Set-Top Boxes (TR-135), Femto Access Points (TR-196), and others. These data models may be integrated into a InternetGatewayDevice data model or standalone Device data model. CDRouter TR-069 with EDM includes support for the profiles defined in the following Broadband Forum data model specifications:

  • TR-104: Provisioning Parameters for VoIP CPE (CWMP Data Model VoiceService)
  • TR-135: Data Model for TR-069 Enabled STB (CWMP Data Model STBService)
  • TR-140: Data Model for Storage Service Enabled Devices (CWMP Data Model StorageService)
  • TR-143: Data Model for Network Throughput Performance Tests and Statistical Monitoring
  • TR-196: Data Model for Femto Access Point Service (CWMP Data Model FAPService)

BBF.069 CPE Certification Test Module

The Broadband Forum BBF.069 Certification Program, operated by the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory, uses CDRouter for the official testing of TR-069 CPE. These same test cases are available through QA Cafe, giving you the ability to perform the same testing in your own lab prior to or while seeking certification from the UNH-IOL. The BBF.069 Certification is based on the Broadband Forum IR-069 test document – CDRouter’s BBF.069 test scripts follow this test plan and will ensure your devices are ready to go through official certification.
