CDRouter Storage is an add-on module for CDRouter that provides test coverage for network attached storage (NAS). CDRouter Storage is designed to test the NAS capabilities of CPE gateways or stand alone NAS devices. Using various network file protocols including SMB/CIFS, FTP, and FTPS, CDRouter Storage can quickly verify the functionality and behavior of your NAS device. Many of todays CPE gateways and NAS devices offer USB based storage or internal hard drives. CDRouter Storage will quickly verify your storage functionality along side all your CPE testing.

Quickly verify your storage functionality along side the rest of your CPE testing.
CDRouter Storage seamlessly integrates with CDRouter to provide a comprehensive test solution for CPE devices and stand alone NAS devices. With CDRouter and the CDRouter Storage add-on, users have the ability to easily and reliably test more than 50 different protocols typically found in CPE devices, including verification of NAS protocols over both IPv4 and IPv6.
As part of the CDRouter family of products, CDRouter Storage capitalizes on the flexibility and advanced test execution and logging controls that make CDRouter such a powerful test tool. CDRouter Storage makes it easy to verify NAS functionality which would otherwise be extremely difficult and costly to perform manually. CDRouter Storage also creates an automated test framework that allows NAS functionality to be benchmarked and tested consistently and efficiently over time. Regression testing with CDRouter Storage is a breeze.
CDRouter Storage can be used to quickly and efficiently identify common problems and implementation issues. In addition, CDRouter Storage provides a great foundation for a consistent and fully automated NAS regression test environment.
CDRouter Storage is available either as an add-on for CDRouter or a standalone test solution. The standalone solution contains the same BuddyWeb test framework and only the CDRouter Storage test cases for using a single test interface. The standalone version is ideal for test setups without any routing functionality such as a standalone NAS. The table below shows the differences between the two versions.
| Feature | Add-on | Standalone |
|---|---|---|
| Supports multiple NAS protocols | yes | yes |
| Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 | yes | yes |
| Automated test framework | yes | yes |
| Test standalone NAS | yes | yes |
| Test router with built in NAS | yes | no |
| Supports wireless access | yes | no |
| Supports WAN side testing | yes | no |
