Certification Program Test scripts to become available to CDRouter customers for pre-testing and troubleshooting

October 16 2012, Amsterdam – QA Cafe, a leader in test and analysis solutions for the telecom and data communications industry, has had its flagship CDRouter test platform selected by the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) for the performance of the Broadband Forum’s BBF.069 Certification program announced this week.

The Broadband Forum BBF.069 Certification program is the first certification program for its popular TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP), which is now supported on nearly 150 million devices worldwide. The UNH-IOL is the exclusive certification body for this program and is currently accepting requests for testing.

QA Cafe CDRouter, the industry standard test tool for broadband CPE, is used for testing by the foremost broadband CPE vendors, chipset manufacturers, and service providers around the world. It includes test modules for TR-069 as well as IPv6 and a host of other protocols critical to broadband and digital home deployments.

“Our selection of CDRouter for the BBF.069 Certification Program not only ensures the success of the program, but ensures the success of the products out there,” said Lincoln Lavoie, Senior Engineer for Broadband Technologies at the UNH-IOL. “We’re happy to be using a tool that was not only easy to use but is recognized by the industry as an essential tool for CPE testing.”

CDRouter’s TR-069 capabilities will be expanded later this year to include the test scripts from the BBF.069 test program, allowing CDRouter customers to perform their own checks, correct bugs, and perform pre-testing before submitting their devices to the UNH-IOL for certification.

“TR-069 certification is critical to the industry, and having a third-party certification body is critical to the success of this program,” said Joe McEachern, CEO of QA Cafe. “We are happy to support the Broadband Forum and the UNH-IOL in this endeavor and we are pleased that the UNH-IOL has selected CDRouter as its test platform. The testing will be a great benefit to all of our CDRouter customers.”
